The Paul James Band has built its reputation on professionalism and attention to musical detail. The five-piece band comprises keyboards, drums, saxophone, bass and female vocals and the six-piece band includes our male guitar/vocalist. Members of the band have performed extensively throughout the UK and abroad, having worked in the fields of jazz, rock and pop touring with some of the country's top artistes, show bands, production shows and cruise ships.
The band is extremely versatile, being able to play a wide variety of songs. Mainly we perform a selection of classic soul, disco, 60's and pop which helps to create a special party atmosphere by keeping the dance floor full and, if required, we are more than happy to include material ranging from jazz, swing and Rat Pack to ballroom dancing, country dancing and Salsa! Our programme is personally arranged to suit the individual needs of our clients and we are always striving to update our repertoire frequently performing requests such as the First Dance.
We always use a high quality PA and lighting system and could also provide a DJ or our own pre-recorded music to suit the mood; anything from carefully selected quiet jazz and love songs to DJ-mixed chart dance tracks. We also have the facility to play your own CD's / mp3's should you wish to supply them. We can ensure that music is playing from the moment your guests arrive until the close of your event.
Our prices vary depending on the size of the band, location of event, date and playing times. Typically, we play as a Five or Six-Piece Band comprising of bass, drums, keyboards, sax, male guitar/vocals and female vocalist. Prices for these popular line-ups start at £895.00.
The band is able to augment it's line-up with a male 'Rat Pack' vocalist, cabaret artiste or compere and offer a range of themed events, as featured on our new website - details available on request.
Our equipment is PAT tested and we have full public liability insurance.
